Millions and millions of people in this world eat non veg food . Some eat for taste , some eat because tradition and weather condition of the part of the world they live and some eat because they have no choice other than this .
I used to eat non veg food in the past and liked it also . But five years back I stopped eating non veg food . why ? Because while discussing with some one about it , the person said some thing and that has shaken me from inside. what did he say ? He said " please don’t eat living things who is someone's father or mother or son , who bleeds when slashed " .
At that time I did not take that seriously but after going home at night thoughts about his talk kept coming to my mind. For 1 week this process continued . I am gonna narrate all those thoughts here , who motivated me for giving up non veg food.
what is the difference between man and animal ? Animals have head , legs ,hands, ears , eyes ect. Blood circulates in their bodies like us , they also have bones and muscles , inner organs are also like us , they give birth , take care of their babies , they also have feelings , they also love and have sex . Though they don’t have the society but many live in groups . So what is the difference then ?
The main difference is intelligence . So should we eat mad man who is considered as good as an animal ?
These were the thoughts . I stopped eating non veg food for 5 years now . I dont feel a bit that some thing is missing in my life. more over I found from the news papers , Health programs, talk shows on T.V. that being a vegetarian you can avoid so many diseases one of them is bird flu.
One more reason , I am not sure about its truthfulness. I have read some where that , animals like lion , tiger ect who eats meat , nature has given them a small size of intestine where humans and other animals who eats vegetables and fruit , have long intestine because non-veg stuff takes little time to digest compare to vegetables , grains and fruit .
These are my thoughts and my perception. All kind of thoughts , suggestions
and remarks are very wel-come.
